Where Stories Become Songs
Writing songs has been part of my life since I was a teenager, but somewhere along the way, I put it aside. Writing Nicci Price brought that part of me back—and now some of those lyrics are making their way beyond the page.
This is where you'll find the songs I've written, the stories behind them, and, eventually, the music they become.
THE SONGS
GODDESS
They call me Goddess...
Goddess was originally written for my short story series, The Goddess Reyna Chronicles. But even as I was writing it, I wanted the song to feel a little more universal—and I found myself giving it a bit of a “Nicci” spin.
As a pop star, Nicci is an idol to her fans. And idols are often put on pedestals and given names like “Queen” or “Pop Princess.” I decided to take it a little higher and have NicNation call Nicci “Goddess,” which neatly ties the song into Nicci’s story.
And now, Goddess is becoming the first of my songs to go into professional production! I’m incredibly excited for this song to finally see the light.
